DAVID BAHRKE

Director of Music and Organist

David Bahrke enjoys a diverse musical career as an organist, choral director, music instructor, and video live stream producer. David serves as Registrar of the American Guild of Organists-Milwaukee Chapter and is a piano and voice instructor with Maestro Makers Music School in Milwaukee (www.maestromakers.com). David has been a music director in Episcopal, Lutheran, Roman Catholic parishes, and other Orthodox and Protestant denominations. In these parish leadership positions, he directed choral, handbell, and various instrumental ensembles of children, young adults, and adult musicians. David has led and performed music for Diocesan services.

David has been a performing organist for the John Weissrock Gesu Church Organ Concert Series. He has served as a Dean and a Sub Dean of the American Guild of Organists-Milwaukee Chapter and as a member of the Development and Finance Committee of the AGO National Council. For seventeen years, he was Chorus Manager and Artist Liaison for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

David enjoys weight and strength training, bicycling, reading, and technology. Together with his cat Raphael, they appreciate hearing and playing a Roger Anderson Harpsichord built in 2004 in 18th Century Saxon Tradition.
